Festival Skaņu Mežs free opening concert with Lotte Anker & Chris Corsano

This Friday a free opening concert of Skaņu Mežs festival will take place at 18.00, recalling the festival’s origins at refurbished Āgenskalns Market

This is a unique chance to experience a concert from the duo of world-renowned Danish saxophonist Lotte Anker and American drummer Chris Corsano.

Be sure not miss this!

 

The concert will also feature performances by Iranian musician Ata Ebtekar also known as Sote, Ukrainian electronic music producer NFNR (Neither Famous Nor Rich) and Cannes Film Festival award-winning film score composer Martin Wheeler.
Last but not least, the event will be graced by a performance of a new work by a Latvian electronic music project, Andris Indāns’ Gas of Latvia.

 

 

The Skaņu mežs Festival is supported by Riga Council, the State Culture Capital Foundation, the Goethe-Institute Riga, the Danish Cultural Institute, the French Institute in Latvia, the U.S. Embassy, the Ministry of Culture, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, iRobot and Valmiermuižas alus.
